It was a short week, but a great week as we started the week honoring America's Veterans on Monday. Over the weekend Volleyball team took 3rd in State bringing home the trophy. Nice job ladies! The Football team beat Central High School to move forward in the bracket and they will Host Wilsonville on Friday, Nov 15th. Please remember this is an OSAA-sponsored event. The cheer team took home 1st place in the 5A Varsity Small Division at Game Day Championships and received Grand Champions for the highest score from the judging panel. Outstanding! Don't miss your last opportunity to see our performing arts students in action this weekend as they put on Rumors a Neil Simon play.
To support student success, Churchill High School created some stringent procedures regarding attendance at the beginning of the year. As we move into the second half of the term and reflect on the procedures we see areas for improvement. We are now set to move into the next phase with more restorative practices and positive recognition of students who are meeting the expectations. As we move into this new phase we have set a goal of all students attending their classes more than 90% of the time and all students attending class on time. Please partner with us in our efforts by calling when your student is out and helping reinforce with your student the importance of being on time. Attendance matters!
Go, Lancers!

Preparation
To help determine whether a conference is necessary, please check your student’s grades and attendance records in ParentVUE or Canvas:
We encourage parents to bring their students with them to conferences. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your student’s academic progress, address any challenges, and strengthen the partnership between home and school. We encourage families of students who may need additional support in one or more classes to participate.
More information regarding conference scheduling will be emailed to families and posted on our CHS website. You may also receive direct communication from your student’s teachers or CHS staff members. Please note that meeting with every teacher may not be possible. We suggest prioritizing teachers in the classes where your student needs extra support.
If you need further assistance outside of the conference dates, our teachers are available during office hours throughout the school year and would be happy to meet with you.
Your involvement is essential to supporting your child’s academic success, and we value your partnership in this journey. We look forward to meeting with you and working together to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
