Clubs

Extended Day Program

• Juniors and Seniors… Need Credits? You can earn up to two additional credits a trimester through the Extended Day Program. If you want more information, have questions, or would like to sign-up, see your counselor now. Classes start January 4th and the deadline to register is Thursday, December 15th.

New Recycling Containers

• Rachel Carson Environmental Leadership students have placed new drink container recycling bins in each classroom this week to improve recycling at Churchill. Please place only empty redeemable plastic, glass, or aluminum drink containers in the new bins. Please keep milk cartons, coffee cups, other recyclables, food, and garbage out of these bins.

Term-2 Schedules

• If there are errors on your trimester 2 schedule, please use the Schedule Change Form to request a change. The form is available on the Churchill website and the QR code is posted by the counseling offices and in hallways. The Master Schedule of classes is posted near the counseling offices if you need to find out when a course is offered. Enter the requested change only once, then keep checking your StudentVue and 4j email to see if the change has been made or if your counselor has a question. Changes may only be requested for an error, such as a missing or incorrect course, not for students that want to be with friends or change teachers in the same subject area.

Seniors Graduation Credits

• Seniors! Please check your Trimester 2 and 3 schedules to make sure you have the courses and credits you need for graduation. Make sure you have completed and submitted your LEAP contract and you have a plan for meeting Career Related Experiences (CRLs). All LEAP contracts are due November 30th. If you are planning to attend college or trade school, make sure you are taking the courses required for admission.

Student-Athletes

• All students who are participating in school sports are required by OSAA to be enrolled and passing 2.0 credits for both the trimester before your sport and the one during it. If you are not scheduled for 2.0 credits during both of those trimesters, use the Schedule Change form to add the classes you need to meet this participation requirement.

Lancer Pageant

• Calling all sophomores! Are you interested in being a Lancer pageant coordinator? Come to an info meeting during lunch tomorrow in Ms. Crews’ room, K8, to learn more about this opportunity.

Programa de Día Extendido

• Juniors y Seniors…¿necesitan créditos? Puede obtener hasta dos créditos adicionales por trimestre a través del Programa de día extendido. Si desea obtener más información, tiene preguntas o desea inscribirse, ¡consulte a su consejero ahora! Las clases comienzan el 4 de enero y la fecha límite para registrarse es el jueves 15 de diciembre.

Nuevos Contenedores de Reciclaje

• Los estudiantes de Liderazgo Ambiental de Rachel Carson colocarán nuevos contenedores de reciclaje de envases de bebidas en cada salón de clases esta semana para mejorar el reciclaje en Churchill. Apoye nuestros esfuerzos de reciclaje colocando solo envases de bebidas de plástico, vidrio o aluminio canjeables vacíos en los nuevos contenedores. No hay cartones de leche ni tazas de café; mantenga otros materiales reciclables, alimentos y basura fuera de estos contenedores.

Horarios del Término 2

• Atención estudiantes, por favor revisen su horario del 2º trimestre. Si tiene errores, utilice el formulario de cambio de horario para solicitar un cambio. El formulario ya está abierto en el sitio web de Churchill y el código QR está publicado en las oficinas de consejería y en los pasillos. El horario maestro de clases se encuentra cerca de las oficinas de consejería si necesita saber cuándo se ofrece un curso. Ingrese el cambio solicitado solo una vez, luego siga revisando su correo electrónico de StudentVue y 4j para ver si se realizó el cambio o si su consejero tiene alguna pregunta. Los cambios solo se pueden solicitar por un error, como un curso faltante o incorrecto, no para los estudiantes que quieren estar con amigos o cambiar de profesor en la misma materia.

Créditos de graduación para Seniors

• Seniors!  Por favor revise los horarios de su Trimestre 2 y 3 para asegurarse de que tiene los cursos y créditos que necesita para graduarse. Asegúrese de haber completado y enviado su contrato LEAP y de tener un plan para cumplir con las Experiencias relacionadas con la carrera (CRL). Todos los contratos de LEAP vencen el 30 de noviembre. Si planea asistir a la universidad o escuela de oficios, asegúrese de estar tomando los cursos requeridos para la admisión.

Estudiantes-Atletas

• La OSAA requiere que todos los estudiantes que participan en deportes escolares estén inscritos y aprueben 2.0 créditos tanto para el trimestre anterior a su deporte como para el trimestre durante el deporte. Si no está programado para 2.0 créditos durante ambos trimestres, use el formulario Cambio de horario para agregar las clases que necesita para cumplir con este requisito de participación.
