Black History Month
- On February 13, 1970, The New York Stock Exchange admitted its first Black member, Joseph Searles.
- On this date in the year 1892, the first African American performers, the World’s Fair Colored Opera Company, appeared at Carnegie Hall.
- February 13, 1907, Wendell P. Dabney established the Union. The Cincinnati, Ohio paper’s motto is “For no people can become great without being united, for in union there is strength.”
Congratulations Swim Team!
The girls’ team won first place and the boys won third with enough points combined to win the overall district title. A new record was set in the 500 freestyle by Kelsey Wasikowski. Headed to swim at the State Championships at the end of the week are Lauren Larsen, Kelsey Wasikowski, Emily Ashton, Ruby Snawder, Bennett Krupka, Roman Dean, Winter Sol, and Toby Hernandez. Congratulations swimmers!
