Today: Mind Body Divergence Alliance meets in F39 during lunch; FSU is canceled today.
On this day in 1963, Michael Jeffrey Jordan, an American basketball legend was born. Jordan quit college in his junior year when he was drafted by the NBA but went back to finish his degree while still playing professional basketball. He was soon recognized for his agility, style, and leadership abilities. Despite some injuries early in his career, he soon made his mark by becoming the only player since Wilt Chamberlin to score more than 3,000 points in a season. Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards for 15 seasons.
Spring sports registration and physicals are due Wednesday. Please make sure you register online and bring a copy of your current physical to the front office. Practices for spring sports start on Monday, February 27th.
BSU has planned a Black Excellence spirit week starting Tuesday. There will also be activities during lunchtime sponsored by BSU and other affinity groups.
There will be a brief football meeting in the gym at the beginning of lunch on Tuesday for those interested in playing football next fall. Make sure you attend as there will be information about spring, summer, and next fall.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors: There will be a Youth Trades Academy information meeting at lunch today. If you’re curious about the construction trades like carpentry, electrical and welding then bring your lunch and join guest speaker Lee Kounovsky from the Trades Academy in the STEM conference room.
Join us tonight for Bunco in the CHS cafeteria. Games start at 6:30 and no experience is required! Tickets are being sold at lunch by the planters for $5 presale or $8 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.
