Lancer wins 1st place in Creative Writing contest
“Soroptimist International of Eugene proudly announces our first-place winner of the Soroptimist International of Eugene and Skipping Stones Magazine creative writing to promote an awareness of Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Our first-place winner is Anna Joy Dillon, Age 16 years, who attends Churchill High School in Eugene.
Anna will receive $300 in prize money and a certificate of excellence from Soroptimist International of Eugene for her entry and her story on Tu Youyou will be published in the March issue of the Skipping Stones Magazine.
She and one family member will be the guest of Soroptimist International of Eugene at their Live Your Dream Awards dinner on Wednesday, March 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in the Colonial Room located at 1626 Willamette Street in Eugene.”
