Dear Churchill Families,
Hope everyone is enjoying the better weather and getting their fill of vitamin D.
Jrs and State Testing
As we prepare for our upcoming state testing window, I have a request for our Junior families. It is vital that our students participate and do not opt out of these assessments.
Participation rates and performance scores are directly tied to how the state evaluates our school and, most importantly, low turnouts or scores could result in the state intervention. If we have too many students opt out or not pass, it can negatively affect the district.
Our Ask: Please help us by reiterating the importance of these tests to your students. We need our Juniors to show up and give their best effort to ensure our school remains fully supported and funded. Out of respect to the all the staff that have put in work to help educate the students, please encourage them try their best out of respect to all of those who have helped their educational journey.
The "Finish Strong" Mindset
With the end of the school year in sight, we’ve noticed the typical "spring slump" starting to settle in. It’s completely natural for motivation to dip as the weather gets nicer, but now is the time to push through.
-
Check the Calendars: We have a packed schedule of events, ceremonies, and finals approaching. Please stay tuned to the school calendar so nothing gets missed.
-
Encouragement at Home: We ask for your help in encouraging your students to finish the semester strong. Remind them that summer break is just around the corner, the perfect time for a well-deserved rest, but we have to cross the finish line first.
With Gratitude
Finally, I want to extend a sincere thank you to all of our parents and guardians. We truly appreciate everything you do to support our staff and your students’ education. Our partnership with you is what makes this school community thrive.
As always, please feel free to reach out for any reason. We are here to help.
Have a great week!
Go, Lancers!
