Clubs

• Today: Film and Cinema Club meets at lunch in STEM 100; Interact Club meets at lunch in F39; Thespian Club meets at lunch in H8; APISU meets at lunch in F55; Jewish Cultural Union meets at lunch in F53.
• Tomorrow: FSU meets at lunch in the Auditorium; Mind Body Divergence Alliance meets in F39 during lunch.

Day of Silence

• Tomorrow, our GSA Affinity Group will be hosting the GLSEN National Day of Silence. Many students will show support and solidarity with LGBTQ+ students who have experienced bullying and harassment by staying silent for an entire school day. Participating students and staff can pick up lanyards at the entrances by the athletic lot, IHS hall, and front entrance of the school at the beginning of the day. Lanyards will also be in the library, the counseling center in the office, and given out at the planters during the 15-minute break and lunch. Teachers: you can also pick up lanyards in all of these locations to support your silent students.

CHS Student Store

• The Student store is now open – check us out Monday and Wednesday during lunch and Tuesday and Thursday after school. Buy something and enter our raffle!

LEAP Deadline

• Seniors, your LEAP packet and interview are due this week. Appointments for the LEAP interview are open. Check the TV monitors by the planters and career and college center for the slide with the QR code or check your nearest drinking faucet for a nearby LEAP poster with the QR code.

Prom

• Prom tickets are sold during lunch at the planters: $30 each or two for $50. After tomorrow, prices will increase to $35 for a single ticket or $60 for two. Scholarships are available upon request. Make sure to complete your guest forms by Monday if you are bringing someone from a different school or an underclassman. Prom is Saturday, April 22nd from 8:00-11:00.

Graduation Announcements

• Seniors, if you have ordered graduation announcements and haven’t received them yet, please come to the front office to collect them.

Graduation Auditions

• Sign up now to audition for the graduation ceremony. Auditions are on April 25 and 26. Any graduating student can audition to give a speech, sing a song, play an instrument, read a poem… or anything that you want to share in the graduation ceremony. The signup sheet is on Jill’s window in the front office.

Unified Basketball Practice

• The Unified Basketball team will be practicing during lunch today in the gym from 12:30 to 12:50.

Electronics Recycling Competition

• Drop off your old electronics, such as phones, laptops, and chargers, in the STEM hallway or the front office this week to help CHS compete in an electronic recycling competition.

• Today: Girls Tennis vs. Thurston at Thurston High School at 4:00, excused at 2:00; Varsity Softball vs. Eagle Point at Churchill at 5:00
• Tomorrow: Boys Tennis Thurston at Thurston High School at 4:00, excused at 2:00.

Día de silencio

• Mañana, nuestro grupo de afinidad de GSA organizará el Día Nacional del Silencio de GLSEN. Muchos estudiantes mostrarán su apoyo y solidaridad con los estudiantes LGBTQ+ que han sufrido abuso y acoso al permanecer en silencio durante todo el día escolar. Los estudiantes y personal de la escuela pueden recoger cordones en las entradas del lote deportivo, el salón de IHS y la entrada principal de la escuela al comienzo del día. Los cordones también estarán en la biblioteca, el centro de consejería en la oficina y se entregarán en los maceteros durante el descanso de 15 minutos y el almuerzo. Maestros: también pueden recoger cordones en todos estos lugares para apoyar a sus estudiantes silenciosos.

Fecha límite de LEAP

• Seniors, su paquete LEAP y entrevista vencen esta semana. Las citas para la entrevista LEAP están abiertas. Revise los monitores de TV junto a los plantadores y el centro universitario y profesional para ver la diapositiva con el código QR o busque en la fuente más cercana un cartel LEAP cercano con el código QR.

Anuncios de graduación

• Seniors, sí ordenaron anuncios de graduación y aún no los han recibido, pasen a la oficina principal para recogerlos.

Audiciones de graduación

• Regístrese ahora para hacer una audición para la ceremonia de graduación. Las audiciones son el 25 y 26 de abril. Cualquier estudiante que se gradúe puede audicionar para dar un discurso, cantar una canción, tocar un instrumento, leer un poema… o cualquier cosa que desee compartir en la ceremonia de graduación. La hoja de registro está en la ventana de Jill en la oficina principal.

Práctica Unificada de Baloncesto

• El equipo de baloncesto unificado estará practicando durante el almuerzo hoy en el gimnasio de 12:30 a 12:50.

Concurso de reciclaje de productos electrónicos

• Deje sus aparatos electrónicos viejos, como teléfonos, computadoras portátiles y cargadores, en el pasillo de STEM o en la oficina principal esta semana para ayudar a CHS a competir en una competencia de reciclaje electrónico.
