Black History Month

• On February 7, 2021, American National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman recited her poem “Chorus of the Captains,” during halftime of Super Bowl LV (55), making her the first poet to ever do so.
• Happy belated birthday to the late Reggae legend and activist, Bob Marley.

Pacific Northwest College of Art

• Pacific Northwest College of Art will be visiting B1 today during periods 3,4,5 and lunch. Stop by if you are interested in learning more about this school.

Singing Valentines

• CHS Thespians are bringing back their annual tradition, Singing Valentines! Do you have a friend or significant other whom you want to show how much you care? Send them a Singing Valentine! Along with a card and some chocolate, CHS Thespians will come and sing them a song of friendship or love on Valentine’s Day. Tickets are sold at lunch by the planters until the 13th. Stop on by and take a look at our song selection.

Seussical Auditions

• Auditions for CHS Thespians’ spring musical, Seussical, are tomorrow at 4:00 in the choir room. All CHS students are welcome to audition. Prepare an approximately one-minute audition piece of your choice from any musical. Callbacks for potential leads will be on Thursday. All who audition will be cast! If you have any questions, contact Mr. Patton at patton_a@4j.lane.edu or go see him in H8.

LCC Scholarship Application Workshop

• There will be a Lane Community College Scholarship Application Workshop today from 3:30-5:00 in F36. Bring your computer and get help with the scholarship application from LCC staff. Snacks will be provided.

Mes de la Historia Negra

Cantando san valentin

• ¡Los actores de CHS están trayendo de vuelta su tradición anual, Cantando San Valentin! ¿Tienes un amigo o pareja a quien quieras demostrar cuánto te importa? ¡Envíales un San Valentín cantante! Junto con una tarjeta y un chocolate, CHS actores vendrán y les cantarán una canción de amistad o amor en el Día de San Valentín. Las entradas se venden en el almuerzo de los plantadores hasta el día 13. Visítanos y echa un vistazo a nuestra selección de canciones.

Audiciones para Seussical

• Las audiciones para el musical de primavera de CHS Thespians, Seussical, son mañana a las 4:00 en la sala del coro. Todos los estudiantes de CHS son bienvenidos a la audición.
