March is Women’s “Her-story” Month

March is Women’s “Her-story” Month. Today we celebrate Sophie Germain who contributed greatly to number theory and the theory of elasticity. She won the 1815 French Academy of Science Prize, became the first single woman to ever attend the Academy of Science sessions, and was praised and invited by the Institute of France to attend their sessions.
