Today we celebrate Rachel Carson, an American biologist and environmentalist who wrote the groundbreaking novel Silent Spring which changed the way people used pesticides. Even though she received terrible attacks from chemical companies, she kept spreading the message against harmful chemicals. After she died, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The Churchill Choral Collective will have their end-of-trimester-2 concert on Tuesday, March 14 at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium. The theme for this performance is “The Road Home” and will feature a diverse array of music from The Downing Street Singers, The Concert Choir, The Treble & Low Voice Ensemble, as well as featuring a few soloists from CHS who participated in the recent Oregon Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble Festival. Admission is free, but a suggested donation of $5 is requested for non-students.
