Clubs

Today: Fun & Games Club meets at lunch in H3; Climate Action Club meets at lunch in STEM 100; LSU meets in J11 during lunch; Theatre Tech meets at 3:45 in the auditorium; Churchill Choral Collective meets at 3:35 in D13; Tinker Club meets after school in Stem 105.

Tomorrow: Film and Cinema Club meets at lunch in STEM 100; Interact Club meets at lunch in F39; Thespian Club meets at lunch in H8; APISU meets at lunch in F55; Jewish Cultural Union meets at lunch in F53.

Friday: FSU meets at lunch in the Auditorium; Mind Body Divergence Alliance meets in F39 during lunch.

GSA Movie Night

GSA is hosting a movie night tomorrow at 7 pm in the auditorium! They will be showing The Birdcage. Since this film is rated R, permission slips are REQUIRED to see it. You can find permission slips in the GSA Instagram bio or grab one from Mrs. Crews in K8. Permission slips will be turned in at the door Thursday night in order to watch the movie. Snacks will be available for purchase to support next year’s GSA! Hope to see you there!

Plant Sale

Are you interested in starting a garden? Rachel Carson students have flowers and vegetable plant starts for sale beginning this Friday at lunch and after school.  We will sell them next week, too, until they’re gone. We are offering basil, tomato, eggplant, and peppers as well as sunflowers and other flower varieties.  We are asking for a $2 donation per start, but make us an offer if you’re low on cash.  Come to STEM 100, the Rachel Carson room, if you’re interested.

Girls Basketball

Girls’ basketball summer season practices start next Tuesday, May 30th, from 4-6 in the gym.  If you have interest or questions see Coach Stewart in room H1.

Mental Health Awareness Month

Come celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month today during lunch in the courtyard.  Sassy the goat will be joining us today, so come get some goat snuggles! There will also be some bubble fun and chalk art by the rock.

WISE Symposium

WISE Registration closes today at 1 pm and check-in for the Symposium begins at 4:30 in the auditorium. Want to go but haven’t registered? It’s easy. Go to the Churchill homepage and click on the black “WISE Symposium 2023” button and register! See you there!

Spirit Week

Tomorrow’s spirit week theme is Pool Party. Grab your floatie, pool noodle, and sunglasses for some pool party fun! (no swimsuits or bikinis please!)

As a reminder, our last spirit week theme of the week is: Senior Citizen Day. Think wigs, walkers, fake teeth, and sweaters!

Most Likely Awards

It is time again for seniors to nominate their fellow seniors for the Most Likely to Awards. Check Canvas or the monitors for the QR code and nominate your friends. Awards will be presented during Senior Breakfast.

Senior Breakfast Tickets

Senior breakfast tickets are on sale this week during lunch at the planters. $15 each.

CHS Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is happening this Friday!  There will be lots of fun activities to participate in and there will even be a dunk tank! Make sure to check the monitors for specific activities and their locations. Please note that there is a special Spring festival schedule, and breakfast will be served from 8-9 and lunch at 10:59. There will be no 15-minute snack time available this day.

Sports

Friday: Track and Field OSAA State Championships at Hayward Field at 9:00.

Saturday: Track and Field OSAA Championships at Hayward Field at 12:00.
