Mean Girls Auditions

Auditions for CHS Thespians’ spring musical, Mean Girls, are on Tuesday, February 6 at 4:00 PM in the choir room. Please prepare a 1-minute musical theatre piece. Callbacks will be on Friday, February 9. All who audition will be cast, so if you have ever been interested in performing on the Churchill stage, come and try out! Audition Forms can be found on the Thespian Announcement board outside Mr. Patton’s room. Go see him if you have any questions. It’s going to be SO FETCH!

Library Textbooks

Please return your books to the library by the end of the school day today. Students should never give their books to their teacher or leave them in the classroom. Bring them directly to the library. If you need to use your books again in Trimester 2, please stop by the library and renew them. You don’t need to have the book with you to renew it. Remember to return or renew your library books too.

ASVAB – Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery

If you are 16 or over and are interested in a career in the military, you can take the ASVAB. It’s free! The test will be offered at Churchill on Thursday, February 1st, 1:30 – 3:30 pm. The ASVAB Career Exploration Program includes a validated aptitude test and interest assessment. The results are used to guide career exploration using our career planning tools. Take the assessments, explore your options, and build your plan. Use the QR code or web address on the ASVAB flyers posted around the school and on the TV monitors.

RTEC 101 – Gateway to College & Career

RTEC 101 Gateway to College and Careers is a free, yes, free, class that is exclusively for graduating high school students or high school students dual enrolled in other college classes for winter and spring. This class is all about preparing you with all the necessary tools and resources you need to become a successful student at Lane Community College.  Flyers are up on the School-to-Career bulletin boards by the planters and in the STEM building, throughout the halls, and on the TV monitors.

Sports

Today: Wrestling vs. Springfield at 6:00, Senior Night.

Tomorrow: Freshman, JV, and Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Roseburg at 4:30, 6:00 and 7:30.

Friday: Swimming vs. Willamette at Echo Hollow at 3:00, excused at 1:10.

Saturday: Wrestling Sherwood Invitational at Sherwood at 10:00.
