Attention 10th and 11th graders interested in advanced placement classes or the IHS program next year — There will be a pizza party in the gym today during lunch. Come mingle with our AP and IHS teachers to get more information about class offerings at CHS next year.

Lancer Pageant

Get a flyer from a contestant, the office, or around the school and go to Dizzy Dean’s today and support the Lancer Pageant.

The next Lancer Pageant fundraiser is at Panda Express on February 21st.

Singing Valentines

Today and tomorrow at lunch are the last days to purchase singing valentines from the Thespian Club.

National Guard

A National Guard question-and-answer session is at lunch today in the College and Career Center. Any interested student may attend.

Attention Seniors

LCC Placement testing in Reading Comprehension and Writing will be offered Tuesday, February 19th, at 3:45 pm in STEM 118. Students must have an L-number and bring a valid photo ID. See Mary Beth in the STEM office if you have questions.

WISE Symposium 2019

Are drones and robots in your future career?  Do you want to take a trip into virtual reality? Find out the answers to these questions and more at the free WISE Symposium 2019 on Thursday, Feb. 28th from 3:30 to 7:30 pm. Eat pizza. Win prizes. All CHS students are invited to attend but you must register on Churchill’s home page and click on the WISE ad in the banner box.

Volunteer Opportunities

Kidsports Valentine’s Basketball Tournament — Feb 16th & 17th — Needs volunteers to run the game clock and keep the scorebook for games.  See Krista Cummings in the attendance office for times and locations.

ElRod Center — a local organization that helps support youth struggling in our society – needs volunteers to help with event advertising and registration on Feb 15th-17th & Feb 22nd-24th. For more information pick up a flyer in the College and Career Center.

Coyote Outdoor School needs volunteers to lead Outdoor School activities from mid-May to early June. Volunteer for 1 to 2 programs for 3 days/2 nights or 5 days/4 nights. Pick up a flyer in the College and Career Center for more information.

Ultimate Frisbee

The CHS Co-Ed Ultimate Frisbee team practices today from 4:30 to 6 pm on the fields adjacent to Kennedy MS.
