Thespian One Acts
Auditions for 21 Chump Street, directed by George Butterick, are today in the auditorium after school. Auditions for Check Please, directed by Sean Burke, are Monday, December 10. Murder Be Thy Name, by Emily Martini, auditions are Tuesday, December 11th, The Lottery, directed by Ryan Dallimore, auditions are Wednesday, December 12th, and Cuttin’ Line, directed by Hannah Whalen, auditions are Friday, December 14th.
Homework Club is after school today and tomorrow from 3:45 to 4:45 pm in F36.
Lane Community College
Any student interested in attending Lane Community College next fall is invited to an admissions information presentation on Thursday, December 13th from 10:00-10:45 in F39.
LCC placement testing in reading, sentence skills, & math will be offered on Wednesday, December 19th in STEM 118 at 3:45 pm. The Math test is changing after January 10th and will not be offered at Churchill. Get ahead of the curve and get your math testing completed this month. Students must have an L-number and bring a valid photo ID. If you don’t have an L-number, please see Mary Beth in the School-to-Career office in the STEM building today.
Youth Trades Academy
The Youth Trades Academy Open House for Juniors and Seniors is Thursday, December 13th, from 5-6 pm in Springfield. Pick up a flyer outside the School-to-Career office in the STEM building for the location and instructions on how to RSVP.
Are you interested in a Product Design Arts Apprenticeship Program focused on graphic, digital, and physical design? This program is free of charge. Students will meet with a mentor group for approximately 2.5 hours per week for a 10-week period (1/10/19-3/24/19). For more information on how to apply, see the monitors in the College and Career Center or in the student lounge area. Flyers are also available for pick up in the College and Career Center. Space is limited and the deadline to apply is December 16th.
