LSU

Join LSU to celebrate Black Indigenous Students and Staff of color; engage with the broad Churchill High community and provide opportunities to learn, take action and/or engage in anti-racist/anti-oppressive world views. We will have pizza, candy, games, and prizes. Join us in D26 at Lunch.

CHS Students

Today we will be issuing free-period stickers for Trimester 2 that attach to the back of your Student ID. All students with a free period(s) in Trimester 2 should see Colleen at the beginning of lunch in the student lounge for your sticker(s).

Twelve Angry Jurors

CHS Thespians’ production of Twelve Angry Jurors is running tomorrow, Friday & Saturday at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $7 for students at $10 for adults and can be purchased at the door or from any CHS Thespian. Doors open at 6:30 pm with curtains going up at 7:00 pm. See Mr. Patton in H8 for more details.

News from the School-to-Careers Office

Lane Arts Apprenticeship Program — Applications for all high school students are open for this winter’s session. Free! Gain experience working with professionals from various art and design disciplines.

Marketing Jam — Any student interested in graphic design and marketing should check out the Marketing Jam. Work with professionals. Free! Look for the Marketing Jam and Arts Apprenticeship flyers posted around the school for more information. Seniors, these programs make a great LEAP.

Seniors, please turn in your LEAP contract before you leave for winter break. You can turn them in at the College & Career center in the box on the counter or at the School-to-Career office in the STEM building. You can even use the online Google form to submit your LEAP idea.

AP Students

If you plan to take any AP tests, payment is due today. You can pay Ken in the front office or use SchoolPay. If you need assistance with making your payment, please see Sheree Houck or Missy Cole.

Seniors

If you are applying to a college or university whose application for admission is due in January, you must request any required transcripts and letters of recommendation before Winter break. You will find the directions to request transcripts and letters of recommendation on the College & Career Center website.

Lancer Pageant

Seniors — Do you want to be a part of the Lancer Pageant? Come to our contestant information meeting at lunch on January 5th & 6th to learn more about how you can help us raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.

Friday: Boys Basketball vs. Willamette High School: Freshman 4 pm; JV 5:30 pm; Varsity 7 pm

Girls Basketball at Willamette: JV at 5:15 pm & Varsity at 6:45 pm
