Are you interested in how science, technology, engineering, and math can change the world? Then join the planning committee for the 10th Annual Women in Science and Engineering Symposium. We meet on Wednesdays at lunch in the STEM building. Tomorrow, enjoy a free pizza lunch with us. WISE and the WISE Symposium are open to any interested high school student.

Happy International Women’s Day from the W.I.S.E. Club. The featured woman in STEM today is Maria Klaw. Despite growing up as a self-described outcast, Maria pursued her passion for technology and became a prominent computer scientist. Klawe is now the first female president of Harvey Mudd College and works hard to ignite passion about STEM fields amongst diverse groups. During her tenure at Harvey Mudd College, her work has helped support the Computer Science faculty’s ability to innovate and has raised the percentage of women majoring in computer science from less than 15 percent to more than 40 percent.

Tri 3 Schedules

The Schedule Change Form for Trimester 3 is on the CHS website. Please refer to the Schedule Change Board located in the College and Career center for class availability before submitting your form. Enter your request ONE time, then continue to check your 4J email and StudentVUE for schedule updates. Not all changes will be possible due to class sizes and schedule conflicts. You will be notified through your 4J email if the change cannot happen.

Please DO NOT walk/run/dig or throw trash in the planters. Those are REAL plants that need our care. They not only make the school look nice but clean the air and provide oxygen. Treat them with respect!

Student Government will be available tomorrow to hear you at lunch in J9. This is an opportunity for students to connect with their representatives and use student voices to help make Churchill a place for all students.

Seniors – Tomorrow during Advisory you will have a Senior meeting in the Auditorium.  It is important that you attend, as graduation information will be shared.  Please check in with your Advisory teacher, and once attendance has been taken, your whole class will then go to the Auditorium for the meeting.

Students in grades 9 – 11 – Tomorrow in Advisory you will continue the forecasting process for choosing classes for next year.  Please make sure to attend class so your class choices for next year are recorded.  If you have questions, please see your Advisory teacher, or make an appointment with your counselor.

Virtual Support Group for BIPOC Teens
