Climate Action Club
Did you know that wasted food produces methane, a gas 80 times more harmful than carbon dioxide? That’s why Climate Action Club is introducing food waste bins starting tomorrow. After finishing your food, stop by the blue food waste bins in the cafeteria to help significantly reduce your carbon footprint. Your food waste will become compost for our community.
11th-Grade Students: Computer Upgrade
This week Jake will be coming to 11th-grade classrooms to take student computers that have not been upgraded and replace them with upgraded computers. If you want to keep your student computer, you must complete the upgrade before Jake gets to your classroom. Instructions for the upgrade are posted on the CHS website.

The UO SAIL program is hosting a ZOOM FAFSA workshop on Thursday from 6:00-7:30 pm. Bilingual Spanish support is provided. All seniors and their families are welcome to attend. See the College and Career Center website for details and the ZOOM link.
LCC is hosting an in-person, hands-on workshop to help you fill out the FAFSA or ORSAA, Oregon Promise Application, OSAC Scholarship Application, LCC Scholarship application, and LCC admissions application on Saturday from 9:00-2:00 at the Downtown Center. Students who wish to change to Eugene Online Academy for fully online learning for Trimester 3 need to complete the 4J Online/Onsite Learning Change Request form by next Monday. The form is located on the 4j website. Eugene Online students are eligible to attend Churchill activities and to participate on Churchill athletic teams.
Congratulations to the girls’ swim team for bringing home the first-ever state championship title! New school records were set in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay by Kylie Taylor, Emily Ashton, Lauren Larsen & Kelsey Wasikowski. Other school records set included the 200 IM, 50 back, and 100 back by Kylie Taylor. Lauren Larsen set school records in the 200 free and 100 free. Kelsey Wasikowski lowered the school records in the 50 breaststroke and the 100 breaststroke which also set a new 5A state record with a time of 1:02.73. To round out the meet, Charley Page-Jones lowered his own school records in the 50 free and 100 fly which also set a new overall OSAA state record with a time of 47.63. Way to go Lancer swimming!
