Black Fact of the Day
Thurgood Marshall was a successful African American lawyer and civil rights activist. In early life he attended Howard University which was created to educate slaves and their desendents. Marshall was in the first fraternity founded by and for blacks called Alpha Phi Alpha. He was the first Black Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United states. Thurgood Marshall also contributed and counseled Brown vs. the Board of Education.

Spring Musical Auditions
Auditions for the spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, are Tuesday, February 22 at 4 pm in the choir room. Please prepare a 60-second selection from musical theatre as your audition. Rehearsals begin February 28. Please see Mr. Patton in H8 for more details. We’re off to see the Wizard!
