Today: Author’s Club meets after school from 3:45-4:50 in G13; Magic the Gathering meets after school in J25; Creative Writing Club meets at lunch in J28; BSU meets at lunch in J9; Theater Tech meets at 3:45 in the auditorium

Wednesday: NSU meets at lunch in J9; Interact Club meets at lunch in F36; Anime Club meets from 3:30-4:30 in F55; Dance Club meets at lunch in the cheer room

Thursday: Robotics Club meets at 3:40 in the STEM workshop; WISE meets at lunch in the STEM building;

National Honor Society

NHS meets at lunch on Thursday in the choir room.

Prom Committee

Our first Prom Committee meets at lunch in the gym.

Lancer Pageant

Any senior interested in being a Lancer Pageant contestant, come to an informational meeting at lunch in F39 on either Thursday or Friday.

Thespian One Acts

Auditions for 21 Chump Street, directed by George Butterick, are tomorrow in the auditorium after school. Auditions for Check Please, directed by Sean Burke, are Monday, December 10.  Murder Be Thy Name, by Emily Martini, auditions are Tuesday, December 11th, The Lottery, directed by Ryan Dallimore, auditions are Wednesday, December 12th, and Cuttin’ Line, directed by Hannah Whalen, auditions are Friday, December 14th.

Homework Club

Homework Club is after school tomorrow and Thursday from 3:45 to 4:45 pm in F36.

Library

Please return your textbooks you will not be using this trimester to the library as soon as possible. We want to make sure every student has the textbooks they need. Thanks for your help!

Youth Trades Academy

The Youth Trades Academy Open House for Juniors and Seniors is Thursday, December 13th, from 5-6 pm in Springfield. Pick up a flyer outside the School-to-Career office in the STEM building for the location and instructions on how to RSVP.

Apprenticeship Program

Are you interested in a Product Design Arts Apprenticeship Program focused on graphic, digital, and physical design? This program is free of charge. Students will meet with a mentor group for approximately 2.5 hours per week for a 10-week period (1/10/19-3/24/19). For more information on how to apply, see the monitors in the College and Career Center or in the student lounge area. Flyers are also available for pick up in the College and Career Center. Space is limited and the deadline to apply is December 16th.

Volunteer Opportunity

Kennedy Middle School needs after school homework helpers on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:45-5:00 pm starting Thursday. Requirements include: Juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or above that are dedicated to academic excellence and are comfortable with at least 1 of the following subjects:  Math, Science, English, or Social Studies. Contact Le Ann Erickson at erickson_le@4j.lane.edu with your name, phone number, email address, and the name and contact information of one Churchill teacher who would recommend you.
