Clubs

Thespian Club meets today in H8; Book Worm Club meets tomorrow at lunch in G29; LSU meets tomorrow after school in J9; Peace Club meets tomorrow at lunch in J9; Women’s Empowerment & Crafting meets tomorrow at lunch in J15; Churchill Dance Club meets Monday at lunch in the cheer room.

Rotary Youth Exchange

All students – If you are interested in studying abroad, come to the Rotary Youth Exchange information meeting on Monday, September 24th, at 7:00 pm in the Library. Rotary Youth Exchange is a program that sends high school students for a year of study abroad.

AVID Tailgate

The AVID PreGame Tailgate tomorrow has been canceled and moved to before the Homecoming game October 19th.

Seniors

College can be expensive. Let us help you find the money you need. Come to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Night Tuesday, September 25th, at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium. You will hear from experts in the fields of federal and state financial aid, completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and finding and applying for scholarships.

Dickie Jo’s Fundraiser

Carson Lydon is hosting a Dickie Jo’s Fundraiser today in support of the Out Of Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention. His team name is “A World Free of Suicide”. Contact Carson with questions or come to the front office to get a flyer to take with you.

NAACP Youth Council

Interested in community service hours and networking opportunities? There will be an informational meeting about the NAACP Youth Council and how to get involved next Wednesday, Sept. 26th in K8 at lunch. We’ll talk about our engagement in leading marches, public speaking, and social events.

Community Service Opportunities

Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Volunteers are needed to help build bunk beds, source supplies, and research finding children that can use the bunk beds, participating in deliveries.

Pink Sox/Walk to Live On at Alton Baker Park – Volunteers are needed to act as race marshals to direct the runners on Saturday, Sept. 29th. Volunteers will work in pairs and be provided with signs and reflective vests. Meet at Alton Baker at 8:00 am on Saturday.

Friday: Varsity Football vs. Ashland at 7 pm: No Early Release;  Cross Country at Meriwhether: Noon Depart

Saturday: Volleyball at Ashland at Noon/1:45 pm Eagle Point at 5/6:45 pm  Bus transport departing at 6:30 am; Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer at Crater: Girls at 1 pm/Boys at 3 pm.
