WISE Symposium

Free food, fun, and prizes! That’s what you’ll find at the WISE Symposium Thursday, May 30th, after school. And cool workshops like Forensic Science: Goodness Latents Me! — Learn about the science of fingerprints and use simple tools to develop latent (hidden) prints on everyday items. Taught by Oregon State Police Forensic Scientist, Marianne Senhouse. Register today at the planters during lunch.

Sand Volleyball

CHS sand volleyball tournament is next week. Team sign-ups are at lunch at the planters. Get a team of 6 together and sign up!

Graduation tickets will be distributed during student lunch in Jill’s office. You can also sign up for your walking partner if both students are cleared.

Grad Party

Seniors – buy your Grad Party tickets before May 31 and get 5 bonus raffle tickets. Sold outside the cafeteria today and tomorrow during lunch.

Oregon Promise

The deadline to apply for the Oregon Promise is June 1st. The Oregon Promise is free money to help you pay for tuition at an Oregon Community College. See Sheree in the counseling center for details.

Job Fair

Are you looking for a summer or full-time job? Come to the Job Fair on Tuesday, June 4th after school and meet employers who want to hire teens. Sign up outside the School-to-Career office.

Community Service Opportunities

Kennedy Middle School – Volunteers are needed to help students with schoolwork and their homework club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 to 5 pm.  Fill out a yellow Volunteer in Schools form found on the table outside the School to career office in the STEM building.

McCornack Elementary School – Tonight – Spring Family Fun Night – Volunteers are needed from 5:30-8:00 pm Check in with Jen Kirkwood for your assignment

McCornack Carnival Night – June 7th – 50 volunteers are needed – Volunteers sign up at
