Graduation at a G’Lance, April 30

Churchill Class of 2021 and Families,

Senior Graduation Surveys are due on May 5.

The new due date for the graduation student portal is May 10. If you have already completed your profile, you can still log in and make changes until May 10.

The virtual graduation on June 10 at 6:30 p.m. is the official graduation ceremony for Churchill High School. The in-person event scheduled for June 17 will only be possible if public health conditions and guidelines allow.

Past issues of the Graduation at a G’Lance are posted on the Graduation! page along with a calendar of graduation events and contact information to help you along the way. Please be aware that past issues of the newsletter may contain outdated information.

Best wishes,
Churchill Graduation Committee

2021 Graduation Checklist – April 30

Graduation Survey Due May 5

This VERY BRIEF survey is required for graduation. During this school year, you have shown us what resilience looks like. We are proud of the work that you have done, of the learning you have accomplished, and the strength that you have shown. This survey helps us honor your accomplishments.

New Due Date for Virtual Graduation Student Uploads: May 10

We are extending the due date for students to complete their graduation profiles to May 10. If you have already completed your profile, you can still log in and make changes until May 10.

Graduating students have received an email invitation from noreply@envisionproav.com with the subject “Welcome to your Virtual Graduation” at their 4J email address. (Early graduates received the invitation at the email address they have provided for communications.) Make sure to check your junk mail if you don’t see the invitation in your inbox. If you did not receive the invitation, email Jill at reents_ji@4j.lane.edu.

Tips:

  • Read the Student Portal Guide.
  • Tips for a great photo.
  • Help us honor you. Please enter a phonetic spelling of your name and record yourself saying your name. This will make it easier for us to pronounce it correctly for the ceremony.
  • If you’re having trouble with the student portal, you may need to clear your browser cache. Here are instructions for clearing your cache in ChromeFirefox, or Safari.
  • We do not recommend using your phone. Use your school-issued student computer or a personal computer.

Seniors. Grad Party. It’s a go!*

Mark your calendar for the evening of June 10 to celebrate your graduation with your classmates. Time and location to be announced as the event plan is finalized. More details will be revealed as the date approaches. It is sure to be a good time and an escape from Zoom to safely socialize and celebrate with your friends. A “real life,” in-person experience to put an exclamation mark at the end of a virtual senior year. Hope to see you there!

Support the graduation celebration with the following fundraisers:

June 2 – Crumble Cookies
Save the date and watch for the flyer to come. Purchases made between 3-6 p.m. with the fundraiser flyer will result in a donation in support of the grad party.

Senior Parents. Let’s do this!

Please get involved to help make the grad part and senior celebration a fantastic sendoff for the Class of 2021. Submit your contact information through the parent survey form and a parent committee member will be in contact. Thank you to those who have already offered to pitch in on the effort. There is no limit to the number of people who can help prepare and organize, finance through fundraising and donations, and staff the event.

The Facebook and Instagram accounts will continue to share information about senior events as we find ways to recognize and celebrate this milestone moment and work together to make something special out of these final months for the class of 2021.

Graduates will have the opportunity to have a photo taken in their cap and gown at this event. Each student will receive one photo at no cost (to be mailed later). Photography will be provided by Northwest Exposures.

Graduation Orders Have Arrived

Graduation announcements, sweatshirts, tassels, and other items ordered from Miners Graduate Services are in the front office. Students can pick them up after school at the front entrance, or come to our regular distribution events on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The next distribution event is on May 6.

Caps and gowns will arrive in May and will be distributed on May 21.

You can still order your cap and gown and graduation announcements. Your late order may be subject to late fees and product restrictions.
