Graduation at a G’Lance 5/3
Churchill Class of 2019 and Families,
Congratulations to those of you whose speeches and songs were selected for the graduation program. Please remember to confirm your acceptance with me by May 9. On May 10 I will finalize the graduation program and send it out for print.
Things happen quickly in this last month of school. It’s a stressful time for both students and teachers, but it is also a joyous time. Take time to breathe. Notice the sunshine. Your hard work got you here and we are proud of you.
Graduation is Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hult Center.
As always, remember you can check chs.4j.lane.edu/graduation to view the graduation calendar, contact information, and past issues of the Graduation at a G’Lance.
2019 Graduation Checklist 0503 (updated 5/3/2019)
Please continue to review the checklist as it is updated each week.
Midterm grading was this week. Counselors will review transcripts and update the “Completed Credits” column after midterm grades are completed.
Students will not have access to the Graduation Survey in Naviance until May 1.
Students and families cannot pick up graduation tickets or participate in the graduation ceremony until all columns on the checklist are checked off.
- To protect student privacy, the checklist is published with student numbers rather than names. You can find your student number on your most recent report card. In ParentVUE or StudentVUE, the student number appears under the student’s portrait in the top left corner.
- A check mark means that your requirements for that column are complete.
Graduation Survey Open May 1–6
The Graduation Survey takes about 5 minutes. Be ready with information about your plans for work, school, travel, or service after you leave Churchill and awards or scholarships you have received. We want to know about all the amazing things you are going to do. The Graduation Survey is mandatory for all graduating students. You will not be able to pick up your graduation tickets until this requirement is complete.
LEAP Interviews May 7, May 13
Mary Beth Hepp-Elam will be in the College and Career Center Tuesday, May 7 and Monday, May 13 for LEAP interviews. After May 13, students will need to contact their counselor or a Churchill administrator if the project and interview are not completed.
Students, please complete your required hours (minimum of 20), the LEAP packet and attachments, and make an appointment with Mary Beth. For your convenience, here is a link to schedule an appointment: https://goo.gl/forms/sx7ygsrZsh6dDXNh2.
The deadline to complete the project was on Wednesday, March 14. If you have questions, please contact Mary Beth at email@example.com. Thank you.
