G’Lancer, April 10, 2020
Our Dear Churchill Families,
The events of the past few weeks have changed the way we live, and the way we will learn for the rest of this school year. This has been particularly impactful for seniors, who will miss out on so many of the social events and celebrations that mark the end of their high school experience.
One thing that hasn’t changed is that the G’Lancer is coming to you at the beginning of the new school term. It looks a little different. You may notice that the calendar section is missing and it’s a little shorter than usual. We hope that the information you find in this newsletter will be helpful to you as we begin this new experience of distance learning.

Distance Learning Resources
Term 3 distance learning classes begin on April 13. Visit our Distance Learning page for links and information to help you get started.
Students, please check your 4J Student Email on Monday for invitations to join your Term 3 classes. If you forgot your password, or if your password isn’t working, please email Robin at francisco_r@4j.lane.edu for help.
4J’s Coronavirus COVID-19 page has more information and support resources for students and families.
Term 3 Schedule Changes
Schedule correction requests are due today, Friday, April 10.
Please only use the Tri 3 Schedule Correction Form to request schedule corrections from this point onward. The form has a drop-down menu with courses for each class period. If the course is full, we will let you know by email to your 4J account. Watch for messages from your counselor!
Our counselors are still working on adjusting schedules to meet the needs of our students during remote learning. Some classes such as Teacher Aide, Library Aide, and Office Aide will not be offered during remote learning. You may see some shifts in your schedule over the next few days. This is because counselors will be making adjustments to make sure that all students remain on track to graduate.
Please do not email counselors about schedule corrections at this time so they can focus on making these adjustments.

Students Ride Free on LTD
All students in kindergarten through 12th grade can now ride Lane Transit District (LTD) buses for free.
For now, students can ride free if they show their school identification card. At a future point, students will be required to show a pass or app to board the bus. Due to the recent school closure, the cutoff date for requiring a pass or app to board the bus has been extended.
