Bring your lunch with you. All are welcome to attend and participate; Bookworm Club meets at lunch in G29.

Walk & Bike

Are you interested in winning prizes for reducing your carbon footprint? If so all you have to do is walk, bike, bus, carpool, or skate to school on Wednesday, October 10. When you arrive at school you will receive chocolate and entered into a raffle with over 20 prizes including gift cards to your favorite coffee shops and restaurants. See Helen or Sarah in STEM 100 with questions.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Homecoming is October 20th from 8-11 pm. Tickets go on sale next week – $10 with ASB, $12 without ASB, & $15 at the door. Permission forms for guests are on the bulletin board in the front office.


You can now fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. If you and your family need help filling out your FAFSA, come to the FAFSA completion workshop on Monday, October 8th. Drop in anytime between 4:00–7:00 pm in F36. We will provide computers. Some funds are limited so do it early. If you are thinking about going to LCC next fall, you can apply for the Oregon Promise Grant now. If you need free money to go to an Oregon Community College, fill out the Oregon Promise application soon. See Sheree in the College and Career Center if you have questions.

Community Service Opportunity

Eugene Comic-Con Saturday, November 10th and Sunday, November 11th. Help kids make paper rockets for a rocket launcher and flying objects for a wind tunnel. Shifts are 4 hours but you can go early or stay late to enjoy the fun. See the monitor in the College and Career Center for details.

CHS Water Polo

CHS had a victory against Marist last night 14–3. Featuring in last night’s game, “first-time goals by Raleigh Shipp, Vaden Francisco, and Halia Zarate.


Today: Varsity Football at Eagle Point at 7 pm: 1 pm Release

Saturday: Varsity Volleyball at Glencoe Tournament: Self Transport; Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer at North Bend: 1/3 pm: One bus transport: Load at 915 am; JV2 Boys and JV2 Girls Soccer vs. Creswell: Both games at noon and both games on Churchill Grass fields.
